The plumbing package begins before rough-in and continues after it

Rough-in is one visible construction milestone, but it depends on earlier planning and must be followed by testing, fixture and equipment connections, final adjustments, and closeout.

Who handles permits and inspections?

Permit and inspection responsibilities should be identified before work begins. NexGen does not assume responsibility for every permit, fee, inspection, or third-party test unless specifically included.

What happens if the plans change?

Revised plans, substitutions, added fixtures, deleted fixtures, equipment changes, and field directives should be documented and reviewed for scope, pricing, responsibility, and schedule impact before the work changes.

What happens if another trade covers plumbing before it is tested?

NexGen should be notified immediately. Reopening, exposing, retesting, repairing, or documenting prematurely covered work may require additional scope, scheduling, and approval.

Does NexGen set every appliance and piece of equipment?

Only the fixtures, equipment, and plumbing connections specifically included in the written approved scope are included. Equipment movement, electrical work, HVAC work, manufacturer commissioning, and specialty installation may remain with others.

Can the project be completed in phases?

Yes. The plumbing scope may be divided into underground, building areas, floors, rough-in phases, equipment phases, final connections, and punch-list work when the plans, access, schedule, and responsibilities support phased construction.

How are additional costs approved?

The project should identify an authorized decision-maker and change process. NexGen should document the condition, proposed work, cost, and schedule impact before proceeding beyond the existing authorization.

Should I call NexGen about a construction project?
