From a button press to a cleared bowl

Why the overflow tube matters

During a normal refill, the small refill tube sends water to the overflow opening so the bowl regains its water seal. If tank water rises too high, the larger overflow tube also directs that water into the bowl instead of letting it spill over the tank rim.
